In order to be recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) and included in the ConnexFM Subject Matter Expert Library, an individual must fulfill at least two (2) of the following six (6) criteria and be willing to support in-classroom education efforts by ConnexFM or ConnexFM Student & Educator members.
Criteria:
1. Extensive Experience
5+ years of hands-on, practical experience working in the field or subject area
Demonstrates a deep, comprehensive understanding through daily application of knowledge
2. Specialized Education or Training
Holds a relevant degree, certification, or advanced credential in the subject area
Has completed intensive, specialized coursework or programs related to the topic
3. Recognized Expertise
Has a reputation among peers as a go-to authority on the subject area
Frequently consulted by others for advice, insights, or problem-solving in the domain
4. Continuous Learning
Actively stays up-to-date on the latest trends, best practices, and developments in the field
Frequently reads industry publications, attends conferences, or pursues ongoing training
5. Teaching or Instruction Experience
Has experience sharing knowledge by teaching, training, or mentoring others
Can effectively communicate complex information to both expert and non-expert audiences
6. Publications and Presentations
Has authored books, papers, articles, or other published works on the subject area
Regularly presents at industry events, conferences, or workshops as a subject matter expert
